RWBY chibi

(Lechería, October 20th. O’kuroku).- After 22 episodes, the second season of RWBY chibi is over. The finale was not as powerful as the last season’s was, but I still enjoyed it a lot.

I have to admit that after last season finale with that Seinfeld-style episode, I was expecting something somehow similar. However, I think “Battle of the Bands” fell short.

It was fun and entertaining, but it was not memorable, at least not as “The One with a Laugh Track” was. Now, if I forget last season and only focus in this episode it is clear that it was fantastic.

I honestly thought that it would be a proper Battle of Bands where the fight would be carried out by playing songs. That is why I felt like Roman when I found out that the real goal of the competition was to hit each other with musical instruments.

That plot twist was both unexpected and funny, in my opinion, mainly because it was very well hidden. Even the introduction of the bands pointed out to a proper musical competition.

By the way, Roman’s band’s performance was outstanding. That itself made my day. I really wanted them to win, and I was intrigued by the fact that Neo was the vocalist. Moreover, yes, it was very cruel that they got interrupted in the precise moment when she was about to sing. That was mean Rooster Teeth. We wanted to know the secret behind Nao’s Voice.

Last but not least, the final sequence reminded me of those cartoons I watched in the 80s when I was a kid. It was both nostalgic and terrific. So summarizing, I liked the finale and I hope next year Rooster Teeth brings us more hilarious moments with the cute versions of our favorite characters. See ya next time!
