English Immersion: a great show every gamer must watch Por Jacinto Muñoz Publicado en 19/11/2016 4 minuto leer 0 0 (Lechería, November 19th. Yakuza Webzine).- Have you ever wondered how would it be if MythBusters met video games? Immersion gives us the answer and it does it in an awesome way. Some days ago I crossed path with this show from Rooster Teeth, and after watching the first two episodes of Season 4, I have to say that I was truly amazed. They not only do things in a professional and serious way, but they also show their love for the games they recreate. Besides, it is very interesting finding out which scenes from our favorite video games are likely to be seen in real life. And that is precisely the main point in Immersion. Burnie Burns (The Amazing Race) and “lab rats” Gavin Free (The Slow Mo Guys) & Michael Jones (Achievement Hunter) attempt to recreate situations IRL from popular video games—from the real life impact of bananas a la “Mario Kart” to a real life NBA Jam (complete with flaming basketballs). Season 4 started punching hard with the recreation of one of the iconic missions from Hitman. In the first episode, Gavin and Michael had to try real hard in order to “kill” their target without being detected. Immersion meets Resident Evil But if by any chance you thought that was complicated, think again. Episode two rose the bet making the “lab rats” accomplish a Mission from Resident Evil, while using the camera angles featured in the game. I don’t want to give out too many details because I really want you to experience this show. I totally recommend this show to every gamer, I know they will like it a lot, and I mean A LOT. And even if you are not a gamer, I’m pretty sure you will spend a great time watching Immersion. In fact, I will start watching the first three seasons right now, while I wait for the third episode of Season 4.
